The Tribute to Sensibility residence, designed by Han Lin Nelson Song, is a stunning example of contemporary design that combines beauty and functionality. Inspired by the concept of Hygge, the client's desire for spiritual contentment and well-being, the design team created a space that embraces coziness and conviviality.

The main public areas of the residence, including the living room, kitchen, and dining area, are seamlessly integrated, creating a sense of openness and connection. The kitchen area, instead of facing the wall, faces the dining area, engaging the kitchen with the entire public domain. This design choice enhances the flow of the space and encourages interaction among family members and guests.

One of the unique features of the Tribute to Sensibility residence is the emphasis on natural materials and balanced light and shade. The use of natural materials, such as wood panels and environmentally friendly paint, enhances the beauty of the space and creates a sense of serenity. The carefully designed lighting further enhances the spatial equilibrium between sensibility and sense.

The design team paid meticulous attention to the construction process, ensuring that environmentally friendly products were used and that the execution of each step minimized pollution. The construction companies were required to continuously check the air quality on the site, further demonstrating the commitment to sustainability.

The 210 square meter space of the residence is filled with natural light, intertwining with the designed lighting to create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. The contemporary interior design takes into consideration the color preferences of the client and their family members, providing a range of color choices that meet their needs.

The Tribute to Sensibility residence is a testament to the designer's skill in creating a space that combines functionality with modern design elements. The integration of different functions, the visual symmetry, and the emphasis on conviviality make this residence a truly unique and inviting place to call home.

The project, which started in January 2019 and finished in July 2019, was located in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Throughout the design process, the designer conducted extensive research to ensure that the space was well-planned and balanced. The inclusion of a wine cellar next to the dining table and the use of mirror-surface ceilings in the kitchen area are just a few examples of the designer's attention to detail and commitment to creating a space that is both functional and visually appealing.

The Tribute to Sensibility residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the design, as well as its contribution to improving the quality of life.
